Weekend Wrap-up, a few days late...

This weekend was pretty great, and not at all boring like I was afraid it might have been. We were super productive doing things like a Target run (oh target how i love thee!), grocery shopping, laundry, and unpacking a little bit more. I even went through some old clothes and now have 2 trash bags full to donate! This cleansing is pretty great. Of course, I had to try everything on just to make sure my pre-baby things fit again before giving them away :) I'm proud to say everything just about fit...I've finally accepted that even if my weight is the same, my hips will never go back to where they were, and that is ok.

To celebrate Father's Day we went out to lunch after church. It was only a semi disaster because the restaurant had high tables and only regular sized high chairs and no booster seats! UGHH. So the Little Man had to sit at the table like a big boy and we sat on either side of him in the booth to contain him. We really need to find a babysitter in our new neighborhood.... Continuing the celebration we spent some family time in the blow up pool and Mr. F grilled out. The best Father's Day gift was Aidan sleeping until 8am Saturday AND Sunday! We recently purchased a video monitor and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! He woke up at his normal time of 6:30 but I was able to keep an eye on him for 5 min and watched him lay back down and go back to sleep. HOORAY! He also has much better pronunciation now than he did a month ago:

Aidan has also started saying 3 word phrases! Last night at dinner he said, "Soccer, goal, yes!!" Clearly he and his daddy have been bonding over some world cup action. And perhaps more excitingly for me, we broke out the baby potty chair yesterday. Aidan has started to tell us "PEE!" and then makes a bee line for the bathroom. I don't know if he's really getting it, but I'm happy to be moving towards big boy pants any way possible!

So now I'm half way through my second week of work, and its hot as hell outside. And I have to wear business professional... ughhh.
