I did it, I survived my week of work :) You know what though, there was never a point this week when I was nervous. Not even a little. I don't know if its because I've gotten older and this is basically a job I've done before or if I'm so much more confident having finished grad school, started a family, bought a house and balanced it all...what ever the case, I'm not nervous and its great.
As the week draws to a close I've been feeling pretty pensive, maybe because I've had time to catch up with my friends' blogs, all of whom write more elegantly than I. exhibit a: Belle in Heels or maybe because for the first time in a loooong time I've been able to sit quietly and reflect on the last crazy few months/years. I can't believe how much we've accomplished and as I was thinking about this coming weekend, realizing we don't have anything but a Target run planned, I think we're going to be bored! So consider this your invitation to Philly! We love having friends over and now even have a guest room and a grill. What more could you need?
This week was even productive in setting up our house. I installed 3 AC units, hung a dressing mirror and our memory foam mattress topper arrived. I've never slept better! Also, last night we ordered our new platform bed! The house was built in 1939 so getting a queen sized box spring up the stairs wasn't happening. After much debate (and yes our mattress is still on the floor) we went with this beauty:
We chose this one because we can eventually order matching nightstands and dressers and we're pretty pumped. Real, adult, furniture :) YES!!
