Two Wonderful Years

Today Dr. F and I are celebrating 2 amazing years of marriage. I can hardly believe its been 2 years already, we've crammed a lifetime of things in those two years... grad school, med school, a baby, a house, and a couple of jobs. The only thing we're missing is a buying a car...but God knows we'll probably be doing that before the year is out... but thats a topic for another day, this is a happy post.

I can honestly say that although I'd always hoped for and prayed for him, I never truly believed I'd be lucky enough to actually marry the man of my dreams. To top it off, I never had any idea he'd be someone I'd known since I was 4! We'd both dated other people, I was more the serial monogamist than him, but we knew virtually right away that our relationship was different, it was beyond something either of us had ever experienced, that it was right.

So the question is, how are we celebrating? We had an awesome dinner at home last night after the little man went to bed with some good wine, lobster tails and steak on the grill courtesy of my parents' friends and Omaha steaks. It was so good! Then I cleaned the kitchen, Dr. F put the trash out and we crashed. Today is Dr. F's first day of residency and it also happens to be his first day on call... so we'll see each other around 11pm tonight...and so it begins...ships passing in the dark for the next 4 years. But in honor of his first day, I made him take a picture this morning :
