head in the clouds

This week has absolutely dragged by. I mean, time stood still and it killed me! This means I have had too much time to sit and think about anything and everything while tooling around on the internets, praying someone updated their blog or facebook page or online shopping (although through great self restraint I did not buy a single thing). I like to be busy. I mean head spinning busy and the times when I wish time would slow down (like when Aidan gives me a big hug or I'm snuggled up with Dr. F on the sofa), those times just fly right by. I try so hard to take those mental snapshots and store them away for a day when there isn't time for snuggling or when the kids are grown and we're old, for the days if Dr. F dies before me and he's not there to snuggle me (HOLY CRAP THAT IS MORBID, but I think about it nonetheless) and know just how few and treasured these moments are.

ANYWAY, this week has also been a night full of "I haven't slept this crappy since I was 9 mos pregnant" sleep. Dr. F has been working his tush off overnight in the ER all week and I just dont sleep that well when he's not home. To top it off, I've still got what I thought were hives and I'm dying of itchiness. (The doctor said I dont have hives, but some sort of non-contagious virus that makes my body react like I have hives and there is nothing they can do about it but let it run its course (up to 3 mos!)....at 10+ weeks later I'm still feeling...AWESOME) However, they did prescribe atarax to help relieve the itching overnight. Atrax is also used for anxiety...win win, right? Except for the part where it makes me feel like I'm underwater, groggy beyond all hope of coffee helping. All I can say is that I'm happy it's Friday and Dr. F is off tomorrow. on a weekend. for the first time in ages. Let's just forget about him having to work on Sunday, shall we?

Ugh, I'm so sorry! But I'm really happy for you that Dr. F is going to be off. Dr. V is finally off a bit this weekend, so I will rejoice with you. Unfortunately, "off" usually means "sleeping." :p

Is it the t-shirt disease???? Someone who I sincerely am not a fan of developed that right before her wedding. It took about 12 weeks to clear (literally days before the wedding weekend). It covered her whole chest and neck exactly where a t-shirt would cover. Yuck! Hope yours clears up quickly.
