Recently the Little Man has developed an irrational fear of bears and spiders. I have NO idea where the spiders fear came from, but the bears.... well, I think it has something to do with one of my LEAST favorite books:
I seriously hated reading this book long before the great Bear Scare began a few weeks ago, now I loathe this book because last night, LM was up from 12am-4am this morning freaking out about bears and spiders. He is convinced the bears live in our basement, despite untold numbers of times that we've reminded him that bears (and spiders) live in the forest and we live in a city.
Please excuse my grumpiness... I'm over tired and under caffeinated* However, if there were ever a time I'd like to engage in a little book burning a la Fahrenheit 451, it is today.
That is all.
*I quite coffee recently in preparation for Operation Dr. F, Knock Me Up!

oh no, I LOVE bears. They're my favorite. I like to joke about how I'm going to write a children's book called "Bears on Skis" and it will be so successful, I will be able to live off the proceeds.
We got our niece this book last time we weren't at Glacier in Montana. I love all the baby glacier animals. THEY'RE SO CUTE.

j/k, you can only see some of the pages. The baby mountain goats are my faaaaaave.
Oh Jenna. I so feel you It is my personal belief that ANYTHING that keeps you up with a crying child from 12-4 deserves to be annihilated.
I tried to explain this to my husband a few nights ago, when the cat woke up Henry with its incessant meowing. Unfortunately, he views this position as 'overkill.'
Sigh. Bears, spiders, and cats. OH MY!
aw I'm so sorry you were up all night:-( Maybe he needs a Paddington Bear book to ease his fears - Paddington is very friendly looking in his rain coat!
You GAVE UP CAFFEINE?!!?! You're superwoman.
We should have called each other last night. Maybe that would have made AWAKENESS in the middle of the night more tolerable....
