Down the Shore

What a great last weekend of the summer! A group of couples from my program went in on a house down the Jersey shore for the weekend as a last hurrah before school started. We all took turns cooking and we even put in some quality time playing board games and cards.

On our night to cook I made baked pasta with ground beef, garlic bread and salad. For dessert we even had apple pie! However, I almost burned the house down because I'm pretty sure the oven was set to "inferno." I'm definitely not used to cooking in a gas oven with open flames so when the garlic bread caught fire... we'll lets just say it wasnt good. Here's a picture of the most edible part of the bread.

We also celebrated Rachel's birthday with the coolest candles!

And by far the best part of weekend was a long walk on the beach with Mr. F talking about our dream house.

Not too shabby for almost 30 weeks! :)
